My wife and I have a 7 day stay booked, we arrived about 5pm we have site 86 a pull through since it makes for easy in and out for a 40' 5er. Problem is the electric, water and fire pit are on the opposite side of the damn of site.

Beautiful campsites. Lots of shaded campsites. Many have brush inbetween the sites for privacy. My husband and I come here every year. We don't care for RV resorts. They are like parking lots with campsites. But not here. We love this place! Also love the hiking trails along the water.

The park has trails and allows pets which is nice. However everything else was a let down. When we booked a couple of months ago we asked if the pool was included was told yes but when we got here things changed. Had to pay $4 a person each day no matter what time we went. Some days if it rained pool wouldn't open until 2-3:00 and closes at 5:00 still paid full price. Must pay to use chairs or umbrella and the rental prices are outrageous. Bathhouses we're never clean. Website is not accurate to what is available.

The site is layed out ass backward to make matters worse, the utility's are at the far end of the site, who carries 60 ' of 50 amp power cord ? Walked over to the bathroom which is close by thinking good won't have an issue lol thought I was going to need a tetanus shot after that. The camp host had just mopped the floor and there was still dirt in the shower area. Over the last 3 years my wife and I have been to a number of state parks here in FL all of them have been great, clean, neat and inviting but this place OMG never again.

As for the park and the trails, and the fact you can bring your dog is great. Today is my first day going to the pool and coming inside the cafe. To start, I paid 10$ for me and my daughter to come in the pool, as soon as we arrive to the pool, we notice there is no chairs for anyone to sit in, there is lawn chairs all stacked up in the grass only available to people that pay to use them, which is 8$ per chair. After that we get in the pool that is probably about 3 ft deep around the whole thing , and my daughter climbs on my shoulders to jump off. The lifeguards calls out that you cannot throw your child or you cannot get on shoulders. To top that off 5 minutes after that the life guard calls out that she heard thunder and everyone has to get out the pool and leave the pool deck as well. The sun is shining and there is not one dark cloud in the sky. At this point I'm so freaking aggravated. Now I'm in the cafe because we might as well eat since we are here, and the place dosent have straws.

Well maintained trails. Much of interest to see. Never knew about the limestone formations and the rapids they create. Many large cypress trees.
